Introducing Chip It by Sherwin Williams!

I'm so excited right now!

Have you ever been surfing the world wide web or rate my space and seen a color or color palette you just love but had no way of knowing what it was or how to match it.  You want that color for your new room makeover!

We all know that paint color is the hardest and most important decision to make when decorating.  It is the foundation and it's got to be just right....I mean who want's to have to change paint colors a few times before we get it right. It took me 3 weeks just to pick out the paint color for my kitchen after spending $$ on samples to make sure I got what I wanted.

Well hold on to your paint brushes DIY color lovers, Sherwin Williams has a new program you will love called Chip It!

It is a new online color tool that turns images that we find on the web into paint palettes!  It will search the image to determine the closest Sherwin Williams hue.

Now, you know that little pin it button we love to use that sits ever so nicely in our tool bar waiting on a pin it moment?  Well now you can get a Chip It button to add to your tool bar love.

Now with the click of a Chippy button (Chippy...love the name), any online image can turn into a palette of paint colors. AW SNAP!   With pin it and chip it, can you say a match made in heaven....Ok am I being a little dramatic :) I told you I was excited

I had to test drive this baby so walk through this with me.... here we go~ I am surfing the web.....surf, surf,  ah lets go to the HGTV 2012 dream home.  I found this room and I loved the color scheme. So what did I do, I hit my handy dandy Chip it button in my tool bar and lookie...... WA~LA

Screen shot..... Aren't those colors so warm and yummy

This Chip it program allows choosers to identify up to 10 Sherwin Williams paint colors in an image.  From there you can add the photo and the color palette to your chip it profile then you can share or print. Amazing!

Keep in mind they probably wont be exact matches but will get all of the DIYers in the right direction.

To get started create a profile at let'schipit.com and then add the chip it tool button.

Let me know if you use Chip It and tell me how you liked it. Share your paint palette and what room you are using it for.

Get to Chippin!

Until next time,
