"I am not here to make you aware of Cancer, I am here to make Cancer aware of JESUS"

My Son's Battle with stage 4 Cancer

I am a proud Mama!!

Yes sir reeeeeeeee......................

My son, Jared is such an inspiration to me

actually, he is an inspiration to a lot of people

                     Because....................

                                               in the FACE of adversity

He rejoices,  because he knows where his help comes from

                                            he understands that he is not his own and put's

his FAITH, his TRUST in

                                      "JESUS"

You see, Jared just got out of the hospital for a 3 day chemo treatment

                                                         To bring you up to speed.........

Last year he went through 3 rounds of AVBD Chemo treatments

                                  from Jan- March 2013 until the pet scan came back clean.

Then after a check up and another pet scan the cancer was diagnosed again in Feb 2014 and this time in his bone Stage 4 HL.

So this is now his second round in 2014 of I.C.E. chemo treatments

                                      which when taken he is admitted into the hospital for 3 days.

The day he arrived in the hospital he got busy about his FATHER'S business

He prayed with one of the nurses

Then later that same day at the hospital he prayed with the guy that came into repair the TV.

There were many more pray sessions through out the 3 days that just blessed my heart

and I have no doubt it

                             BLESSED GOD'S HEART!!

The day after Jared got out of the hospital

                        he was ask to be the guest speaker at "Relay For Life"

He shared his STORY..............

He brought a message of FAITH & HOPE in Jesus to those that are fighting cancer, those who have fought and won, or sadly those who have lost someone to cancer.

He spoke with people

                                        ..................He Prayed with people

He took the time to love on people......

Jesus ask us to be his hands and feet and Jared does this so beautifully

this guy had lost his Father to cancer and was deeply wounded trying to heal from the pain

2013 Mustang .......The Memorial on wheels

Here is a cancer awareness car that Jared got the privilege to sign

what a beautiful memorial to all those we love and remember.......

This picture says it all.................

Jared loves life, he is an encourager.......he shares the life of Jesus that he has been given

does he get down, sure, does he have negative thoughts, Im sure

But he knows all those are choices

                               .....................he chooses to live IN HOPE

he chooses daily to live IN FAITH

not in despair....................

I love what he said at the "Relay For Life" during his speech

"I am not here to make you aware of Cancer, I am here to make Cancer aware of JESUS"

Don't tell God how big your problem is, tell your problem how big your GOD is

So you see with a thankful and humble heart I am proud to call him SON!

PS: If you would like to follow Jared and encourage him you can find him on Facebook

Loving transformation,

Head Over Heels!

High heels !!!!

High heels have always been a head turner!

Are you a heel's fan?

When you want to look your absolute best, do you go for the high heels and the red lipstick?

  • Heels can make a girl feel ten feet tall
  • Heels can make you feel like a confident Diva
  • Heels can make your legs look leaner and longer
  • Heels can transform an outfit

High heels can also make you look clumsy if you dont know how to walk in them properly.

I mean seriously even the these professionals can feel clumsy in high heels  WATCH

can you imagine having to walk a runway with poise and grace in front of cameras and lots of people.

When you’re walking in heels, let’s face it ladies, there’s always a tiny part in the back of your brain that repeats “don’t trip, don’t trip” continuously.

I find that as I get older my heels get lower and my lipstick gets lighter....lol

Not that I dont like red lipstick, it happens to be my favorite color by far & I love, love high heels as well.....

BUT, I mean really, the agility does not come as easily as it use to and I feel a little clumsy in 4 or 5 inch stilettos.

I use to wear them all the time and now I just wann be comfy most of the time!

Can I get a witness somebody!!!!  (raise of hands)

Come on dont leave me hanging out here in heel land all by myself.

Surely there are those of you that feel more comfortable in your flats and your oversized comfy sweatshirts

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was feeling daring this past weekend, so I took out a pair of my high heels on Sunday and decided to sport them to church!
Oh Yeah ladies, sporting a pair high heels I had not had on in at least 6 months or better.
Funny, I was walking into church and a lady stopped me and said "How in the world do you walk in those things, I would break my neck"
I just chuckled.........
Source
Are these not fancy smancy HEELS?
I mean where in the world would you wear something this stunningly beautiful and flashy?
Starting to daydream..........
"Biddidi,bobbidi, boo, sang the fairy godmother as she waved her magic wand. All of a sudden, the pumpkin changed into a coach, the mice into horses, the dog into a footman, and the horse into a coachman.
She waved her magic wand again, and my oversized sweatshirt turned into a beautiful gown. On my feet appeared 5 inch stunning and oh so flashy glass Heels.
My prince charming and I whirled around the ballroom all evening with the agility of a tightrope walker.
It was glorious!!!
At the final stroke of midnight, my beautiful gown became an oversized sweatshirt and my glass slippers turned back into everyday flats.  My coach disappeared, too, and in its place was a pumpkin.
and then, I woke up!!
Daydream, Over...............
 A girl can dream can't she??????????????????????????
Source
So the moral of this story is..........
................................... dress up more often and wear your heels with confidence!..................................
 dont trip and don't leave home without your fairy Godmother!  (snicker)
"Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"
Via Google
I ran across this amazing story on Facebook and wanted to share.
A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"
DAD: "Yeah sure, what is it?"
SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?"
SON: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "If you must know, I make $100 an hour."
Via Google
SON: "Oh! (With his head down).
SON: "Daddy, may I please borrow $50?"
The father was furious.
DAD: "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior."
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $ 50 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.
DAD: "Are you asleep, son?"
SON: "No daddy, I'm awake".
DAD: "I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier. It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $50 you asked for."
The little boy sat straight up, smiling.
SON: "Oh, thank you daddy!"
Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.
DAD: "Why do you want more money if you already have some?"
SON: "Because I didn't have enough, but now I do.
"Daddy, I have $100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you."
Via google
The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.
It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.
Via Google
Do remember to share that $100 worth of your time with someone you love? If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family and friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family.
Some things are more important.
Cont......Part 2, WOW God! My Son's Battle with Stage 4 Cancer
WOW GOD MOMENTS !  Part 2
So, for the rest of the story! continued from Part one....
I wasn't prepared for the word CANCER and especially not from my 25 year old son.
Although broken hearted my son and I along with my family and our network of friends had FAITH and HOPE in something much bigger than ourselves .
A Limitless GOD.
A GOD of the Supernatural!
A GOD that is abounding in love.
We know we live in a fallen world and bad things happen to good people. Bad things happen to people that follow Christ Jesus....It's called LIFE
We also know that the word tells us that we have an enemy of our souls that comes to kill, steal and destroy.
But in this LIFE we have someone that we can run to everyday to guide our steps and teach us what to do and how to do it.
Jared standing for LIFE
So thats what we did we.
I ask Papa God to gives us strategies on how to fight this evil cancer that had come to take my son's life.  It was our enemy and we were at war.
War calls for action not complacency...........
 We dont tell God how big our problem is we tell our problem how big our God is!!!!
My husband is awesome, he locked arms with me and we started to research.
We researched natural ways to fight cancer and cure cancer.  Too our shock we learned so much about the immune system and how it works and how cancer begins.
We learned that a sick immune system is the cause of all cancer and disease for that matter.
Shocking!! to learn that most people have cancer in their bodies and do not even know it, now that's a scary thought........
BUT the good news is a heathy body and a strong immune system destory emerging cancer cells before they can create this life-threatening disease.
Did you know????  that over 5,000 people in North America are diagnosed with cancer everyday---that is almost 2 million per year.  It is an epidemic.
And what do we do about changing our eating habits, strengthening our immune system, Getting out of a sedentary lifestyle.   We, yes we need to make changes in our lifestyle to help us live healthier lives. We have to take control of our bodies and make wise choices.
ya, know the old saying.........."Garbage in----- Garbage out"     "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"
It is true we reap what we sow.
Did you know that 1 soda (sugar= poison) can suppress your immune system for 6 hours.
So my hubby got in touch with some cancer researchers from the Cancer Tutor  this website gave us a lot of good alternative cancer treatments and exposed a lot of truths as well.
Before my son was to start his Chemo treatments the researchers said we had to be very aggressive since he was at stage 4.  Their were some protocols that were synergistic with Chemo so thats what we showed our son.
Now please know I am not a fan of chemo because it is a poison that literally destroys everything in the body good and bad.  So it destroys the Immune system (scratching head) what we need to build up to fight the cancer naturally.  However this is a whole other post!
We put my son on the The Bob Wright protocol for cancer...this is a high alkaline protocols and in our research we found out that cancer CANNOT live in a high alkaline body.
Jared was put on a strick 30 day fresh, organic, high alkaline raw vegetable diet.  This raises the alkalinity naturally but can be a slow process.  He avoided all sodas and sugars.....
Cancer LOVES sugar ..... it feeds it and cause it to multiply.
We also bought Jared a Tyent water ionizer that would produce 11.5 chemical free super charged water for his body and every cell in it. This was a huge deal and would help raise his alkalinity quick. ( I was not paid to endorse this product)
WARNING: their is a right way and wrong way to use this high alkaline water so if you or any family member use this follow the instructions or follow the instructions in the Bob Wright Protocol which is what we did.
I want to get one of these amazing machines for our own home at some point.  This is good at preventing/healing disease all around.
Did you know that Alkaline water machines are prescribed medical devices in China.
If you have a family member that has cancer I highly recommend this alkaline water.  Do your due diligence on the research of these products you will be amazed.
Jared ministering the Love of Jesus and sharing his testimony
I have more to share but will have to leave this for another blog post.
stay tuned for the rest of the story soon to come
WOW God! My Son's Battle with Stage 4 Cancer (Video Blog)
Have you ever had a WOW God moment?
Let me bring you up to speed...........................
My son, Jared was living in Murfreesboro TN and he texted me at 4am and ask if I was up.  Now, I know my son and he would not be up at any 4am, unless their was a problem.
So like any mom would do when I got his text upon awakening, my heart sank and wonderend what was wrong?  I immediately called him but it kept going to voice mail.  Now, I was trying not to panic since I could not get a response for over an hour.
me and Jared playing around with our recorders
Long story short, we talked, he said he had been having trouble breathing when he sent the text, then told me of his itching symptoms he had been having for weeks and now he tells me, "I have a lump in my neck."
At this point, I said, "young man get up and get yourself to the doctor."
So after his appointment and many test later later in October of 2012, our 25 year old son, Jared Paul was given the news by the doctors that he had Stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Jared made this picture with this caption keeping things humorous. To know Jared he is fun loving and always making people laugh.
Hodgkin's lymphoma is a cancer of lymph tissue found in the lymph nodes, spleen, liver, bone marrow, and other sites.
I certainly was not prepared for what I had just heard.........
I actually felt numb and in shock.
When Jared told me this news, I had to reach deep within my spirit for the breath of life......... for life giving words
..................................I told him "Son this is only news, This is not the TRUTH."
was I heartbroken of course, did I cry of course, I am a mom who loves her son and would trade places with him if I could.  But I knew where to run, I knew where my hope and help comes from.
Source
You see, most people think of NEWS and TRUTH as one in the same.  The doctors gave my son a diagnosis based on  test results and medical facts.  But as followers of Jesus we walk by TRUTH which is God's word.  Jesus teaches us to walk out our lives by Faith not by sight.
Faith goes beyond the limits of News!  ...........
Man has so many limitations but Our God is a limitless God !!!!
Matthew 19:26  Jesus said “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
POSSIBLE, think about that, POSSIBLE....  Possibility gives HOPE
pos·si·ble
/ˈpäsəbəl/
Adjective
Able to be done; within the power or capacity of someone or something.
.........................Impossible leads to Hopelessness......................
im·pos·si·ble
/imˈpäsəbəl/
Adjective
  1. Not able to occur, exist, or be done: "an impossible task"; "impossible to keep up".
  2. Very difficult to deal with: "an impossible situation".
God is our POSSIBLE in Impossible situations
Remember, FAITH is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
So we did what we had been taught............
We had to put our Faith into ACTION.......not an easy feet when you have the C word hanging over your head.
However we took hold of our faith in God and reached out to many that have faith to stand with us and believe for Jared's healing.
Here is a video blog our son, Jared made right after he was given the NEWS
More to come on this WOW God moment
to be continued.........
From China to China Grove, NC.... A miraculous adoption story
Hi friends!
Grab a cup of coffee and some tissues you will need them :)
I have a heartwarming story I have to share with you.
This story come from the Salisbury Post about a family I met a few weeks ago in a church my husband and I were visiting.  I met Lisa and her husband Gary as well as Chet.  What a beautiful family!
I love to see and hear how God orgistrates his plan of action.  You see in China a child at the age of 14 is put out of the orphanage the only home they know. Can you imagine a 14 year old child being put out on the streets to fend for themselves?
You will see in this miraculous true story how three deaf boys that were best friends in an orphanage in China were reunited after They’d last laid eyes on each other 7,000 miles away, in Tianjin.  They discovered, that all along they had lived only 25 minutes apart from each other. Read their amazing story and see How God worked all this out for these boys.  What a mighty God I serve, He is on the throne!
Gary and Lisa Fink of China Grove are shown here with the son they adopted from China, Chet. Submitted photo.
CHINA GROVE — It sounds like the beginning of a fairy tale.
Once upon a time, there were three boys who lived in an orphanage in Tianjin, China. They were deaf, and so the chances of them being adopted were not great.
But they had each other.
They were best friends.
In 2008, fortune smiled on one of the boys, Sun Bin Fang. He was adopted by an American couple and given the name of Ben. He was happy, but sad too, because he had to say goodbye to his friends at the Children’s Welfare Institute, knowing he’d never see them again.
A year and a half later, in 2009, the second of the trio of friends, Wu Ye, was adopted by an American couple and became Eddie. Eddie was happy to be adopted, but he worried about Zhen Sen being alone without him.
Zhen Sen stayed at the orphanage, missing his friends. Month after month, year after year, he edged closer to being 14, when he would have to leave the only home he’d known and return to the streets of Tianjin.
Eddie and Ben never forgot him. And even though they were both in the United States, with loving families, they couldn’t help but miss Zhen Sen — and each other.
Chet Fink is shown here in China before leaving with his new parents, Gary and Lisa Fink of China Grove. Submitted photo.
Flash forward a bit. Eddie’s interpreter at school told his parents that she knew another family who had adopted a deaf boy from China and wondered if they wanted her to set up a meeting. Eddie did, and the parents of both boys agreed.
As the boys saw each other, each signed the good news: “That’s my best friend from the orphanage.”
They’d last laid eyes on each other 7,000 miles away, in Tianjin.
And now, they discovered, they lived only 25 minutes apart. Eddie was in Marshville in Union County and Ben was in Concord.
What are the odds?
Meet The Briar Patch Kids
Our new Family Members
I feel like Alice in Wonderland.....One day I fell down the rabbit hole and came out into the Briar patch!!!
...where 3 little furry friends greet me every morning
meet the 3 new additions to our family
drum roll please.................
MEET NAPOLEON
Isn't he just the cutest thing, with his little brown nose and pink eyes.
Napoleon is a Californian bunny rabbit....I know what your thinking and NO Silly :) :)
he is not from California that is his breed of rabbit.
He is my little male.... male rabbit and let me tell ya he is a sweet one
.......................and one of the easiest of the three to hold.
Napoleon's favorite thing to do is eat!!!
That boy can put away some food I tell ya.
See while doing his photo shoot he could not resist a little snack.
when it was over 100 degrees it was to hot for my furry friends to be in the heat
so Barry and I brought them all in the house (can you say disaster)
 Napole decided he wanted to get frisky with Willow and she wanted NO part of that.
So the feisty girl that she is put him in his place real quick......
clawing, biting, hair flying all over the house ..... he ended up in the corner hunkered down waving his white flag.  She WON!
They are just babies but he had forgotten that.....Male brain cramp...lol
MEET ANNABELLE
Annabelle is the bell of the ball.......She is very prissy and lady like...see  you can just see it in her facial expression
....... she didn't take to us commoners very well at first but now that I have given her her very own name plaque in her favorite color she is quiet happy in her new home.
She has warmed up to us.
This was her first week with us and she was a little camera shy so only one good picture of Annabelle.
Of course ladies we all know that no one should ever post a bad picture of us on the world wide-web
well Annabelle is no different so I respected her wishes. :)
Annabelle is a New Zeland rabbit and no silly~~~~~~ again she is not from New Zealand.
She does however make her rabbit noise with an accent...J/K
And Finally
MEET WILLOW
There is always one in the bunch and this is my rowdy child.  She is quiet rambunctious and oh my
gosh..............
PERSONALITY, PERSONALITY
This girl is a DIVA....she is not camera shy, she welcomed all the attention
........this girl wants everyone to look at her
and pay NO attention to those other silly old rabbits.
Whose Annabelle and Napoleon?
She is the one who adores attention.....she will come running up to the door of her cage for some good
ole' lovin...
she loves her back rubbed and her head....but warning when you try to pick her up she wants to claw
and scratch because she wants to runnnnn.
Willow is a Chinchilla rabbit and I adore her color.
This is our bunnies Briar Patch home.
Of course I had to paint it and pretty it up with flowers and signs.
Home Sweet Rabbit Home!
